Sustainability

Human development has led to drastic quantitative and qualitative changes in the earth’s environment. These rapid ecological changes are not only threatening the survival of plant and animal communities that have lived in balance with nature for millions of years, but also affecting the chances of survival of the human species, as degraded environments and depleting resources sooner or later will limit human progress. Understanding and addressing modern ecological challenges is therefore no longer just a conservation issue, but also a key to our sustainable development.
