Azal Abdulwahid Abbas from Iraq is a Stipendium Hungaricum Ph.D. student from ELTE University under Dr. Melinda Halassy’s supervision. She got her Master’s degree in Biology/Ecology from the University of Baghdad in 2017.

Her Ph.D. topic now is seed-based restoration to prevent the establishment and spread of invasive species. She is working on a pot experiment in the Botanical Garden.
