In 1996, he graduated as a horticultural engineer from the University of Horticulture and Food Industry, Botany Department. Since 2001 he has been working in the field of collection horticulture, mainly in the field of living plant collection, garden development and conservation projects, especially ex-situ species conservation and seed bank. He has two decades of extensive experience in generating and implementing small, medium and large-scale projects with national and EU co-financing.
Between 2010 and 2021 he was Secretary General of the Hungarian Association of Arboreta and Botanic Gardens. In 2021 he was appointed as President, and at the same time he represents Hungary in the European Botanic Gardens Consortium. He has played a key role in the preparation and implementation of large-scale reconstruction projects of Hungarian arboretums and botanical gardens in the 2004-2013 period. Under his leadership, the Hungarian Association of Arboreta and Botanic Gardens (MABOSZ) has become the main organiser of major international professional events, has participated and is participating in international projects and has published several knowledge gap-filling publications.
